On a last minute trip to the coast of Maine before summer's end, my family and I rented a little cottage tucked away in the trees overlooking a coastal inlet. Sitting out of the deck watching the fisherman was our morning routine. As the dew on the grass began to rise and the sun shined on the pines, the aromas surrounding us were airy, woody and fragrant. Each morning we would settle into the enticing sights, sounds and smells of the woods around us. You can really feel like you are walking on the coast of Maine with the water's edge on one side of you and the tall mossy evergreens on the other. The hints of lavender and black pepper are awesome too!
